Garet Reynek was born in Omaha, Nebraska in 1986 and is currently based out of Omaha, Nebraska. He received a BA from Hastings College in Ceramics and Business in 2010, and as of 2018 Reynek earned a Masters in Fine Arts (ceramics) at Wichita State University. He has been a studio assistant to artists Jun Kaneko, Conrad Snider, and John Balistreri. Reynek has adjunct taught at Butler Community College, Wichita State University, and Newman University. His works involve abstract ceramic sculptures derived from experiences and visions one may encounter when moving through urban environments. Reynek has been a resident artist at Watershed Center For Ceramics Arts and exhibited in Wichita’s national juried exhibition and “Beyond the Brick Yard” 10th annual exhibition in Helena, MT. |
